The Bømlo Review of Books is among Sunnhordland's premier outlets for English-language criticism and commentary in the realms of poetry, fiction and Bømlo-interest writing.

A consumer survey identified quality fiction reviewing as one of the seventeen most under-served needs in Sunnhordland (in the culture and wellness category), while a handful of respondents mentioned a desire for more exposure to English-language media. Consequently, a small group of childhood friends went "once more unto the breach" and interviewed local focus groups to design the ideal online literary review. This was a severe challenge, since at the time the internet was still quite new and had not yet reached Sunnhordland. After nearly a decade and a half of work and 17 million kroner invested by the Norwegian government, we are proud to present the fruits of our vision. We hope you will find those sweet, savoury fruits... enlightening!

Each issue of the Bømlo Review of Books (BRB) will showcase our reviewers' in-depth knowledge of the very latest breakthroughs in the fields of poetry, fiction, and Bømlo-interest writing.
